Covers Grays Like a Pro, Just Watch for Staining
This is my go-to at-home hair dye, and I’ve been using it for a while now. The Natural Blue Black shade comes out rich and vibrant, and it really does cover grays completely, even the stubborn ones around the hairline. I love that it’s ammonia-free, and it doesn’t leave my hair feeling dry or damaged, especially with the bond repair complex and vegan keratin included.The color lasts a good few weeks, and I don’t notice major fading between washes. It also has a softer scent compared to other drugstore dyes, which makes the process more tolerable.That said, it does stain skin and surfaces pretty easily, so definitely apply some barrier cream or Vaseline around the hairline and wear old clothes when using it. Once you know to prep, it’s manageable, but it’s worth noting for first-timers.Overall, it’s a reliable, affordable option for at-home coloring with salon-level gray coverage. I always keep a box (or three) on hand.

Works every time!
This works so well! Very happy with the results every time, and this is such a money saver vs going to a salon. I have pesky, bright-white strands coming in that really stand out against my dark brown hair. This makes them completely disappear and looks so natural. I also LOVE the conditioner. It leaves my hair feeling washed and so soft.

Inexpensive and covers grays well. However, it does wash out little by little every time you wash your hair. It’s not permanent like bleach is.

I’ve been using revlon hair dye since I was in middle school. I’m now 34 and still use it until til this day. No matter what other brand I use, I always come back lol! Also this is such a good black hair dye. Coverage is great and it lasts without fading too fast for me.

100% recommend it to cover gray hair and even color
I liked its perfect gray coverage, the color was even, it doesn’t smell like dye probably because it’s ammonia free, the hair is soft after using its conditioner, the point that I didn’t like is the color, it’s very dark almost like black blue, a very intense black and sometimes the color looks artificial, I was looking for a color that looked more natural, I thought that as it says soft black it was going to be a more natural black, that’s the only thing I didn’t like, but next time I will buy the dark Brown to see if it looks a softer and more natural black. Even so, I 100% recommend it to cover gray hair and even color, definitely a great product at an excellent price.

Highly recommend this brand and color if you want BLACK black hair with no awful smell
I had copper dyed hair for a while and wanted a change. I’ve been using a color depositing conditioner to dye it black but it didn’t last long and it wasn’t dark enough. It was like a dark brown with red undertones. Decided to just get some actual dye, and I’m glad I picked this one. It barely has a smell which is great. The color payoff is also great- it’s definitely BLACK. Which is what I was going for. So if you want a softer, more natural look I would not pick this color.The consistency of the dye was surprisingly good. I’m more familiar with the Ion brand, which I’ve used both their liquid and cream options. Cream was always too thick and liquid was super runny. This dye has a perfect consistency. Easy to apply but not so runny that it gets everywhere. I did a good job of covering up the bathroom beforehand to avoid a mess, but I did get a little bit on the (white!) bathroom tile. I freaked out lol. Luckily it wiped up easily and immediately. It did take a while to wash out of my hair, but that’s not a big deal. Did not stain the tub either. Color looks very even, I’m happy with it.

my hair feels healthy and the color lasts
i’ve always used black garnier olia hair dye, but it would wash out way too fast for it to be worth it. now that i tried this dye, i won’t go back! it lasts way longer and the black is SO BLACK! i love it a lot. it caused minimal damage to my hair, which was a huge shock honestly, i have a lot of fine delicate hair. after 3 washes i am still not seeing any brown tint. of course, hair health is the most important to me and i think the bond repair aspect is effective
