Smells like a mans cologne.
A beautiful cologne-like smell. It personally reminds me of my Dad’s spray-on deodorant, but in a good way. I appreciated the little silicone lip inside the lid to ensure that it doesn’t make loud noises when it opens and closes. I also just like the look of 365 candles as they all have a bit of a chic feel to them being more simplistic in design.

No way did this candle burn for 40 hrs. I do love the vetiver scent.

nice scent but I can hardly smell anything
The candle has a nice masculine scent, it smells almost like a male cologne. However, it only smells good in the jar, when I burn it, I don’t smell anything at all. I’d tried burning it longer, keeping the door shut but I still don’t smell anything. In face, even the jar doesn’t have much scent left now when I smell it up close. The candle burns fine but I’m disappointed that the scent doesn’t last.

I like the Smell
Be warned that this candle is going to be polarizing in its scent – you will either love it or hate it. I think it smells very similar to a mall in 2005 – the A&F store that you would walk by and smell as you passed. It does not give me a headache and I enjoy the scent, but I could see how it would put some people off. It burns evenly and doesn’t leave a huge divot in the middle of the candle with wax up the sides.

I wish there was more basalm in this – the mixture of vetiver makes this smell very cologne-y which I’m not a fan of. Burn on it is ok but not great- it starts to give off a bit of a burnt (not in a good way) smell almost like it’s burning way too fast.It had potential but I don’t recommend.
