Good hand cream for dry cracked hands
I was skeptical that I would like this. I’m fairly picky on how lotion or cream feels on my hands. The reason I find this one to work so well is it absorbs quickly and thoroughly. It doesn’t leave a greasy residue. Works really well on my dry cracked hands. No scent. Good size package, reasonable price, making a excellent value.

Amazing hand cream. It really delivers.
I cannot sing the praises of this hand cream enough.Usually around the end of September my eczema starts to flair up on my hand. It’s so bad my hands are like sandpaper.I have tried many products over the years and none have worked as well as this. This is high quality stuff. It’s thick, creamy, but not greasy. It melts into your skin with some rubbing. I wait after applying it as I want it to absorb well. It had a slightly odd smell after I first opened the container but that quickly disappeared. I don’t notice any fragrance now. It’s a little pricey but in line with all the other creams I considered. After using multiple times a day I and for several days several days, I have bearely made a dent in it. It seems like it will last for a while. My hands strongly recommthis product.

Solid hand lotion, the residue is intentional.
I’ve been using this stuff for years. Like, literally, the last time I bought a pack it was years ago. You only need a little bit of cream to moisturize both hands. This stuff lasts forever, and it works pretty dang well. No complaints. I’ll keep buying this as long as they make it.This specific “cream” works very well because it contains some type of wax like substance that works really well at holding in moisture from your skin. That also means it feels a bit different than other lotions normally do. It can dry out, which would normally mean the lotion was expired. But it’s fine. Just add a drop or two of water to the top, and mix it together. Kinda like mixing the water back into sour cream. Then put the lid back on, and it’ll be good for a few more months. It’s hard to come up with a lot of detailed things to say. It’s hand lotion. It has a subtle smell that’s hard to describe, but easy to ignore. If you want something with a scent, try another lotion. Apply when your hands are getting dry, and it keeps your hands from cracking, bleeding, or otherwise getting dry and unpleasant. Don’t let your hands get like that. Treat yourself by having skin that doesn’t look and feel like it’s dead.Being wax-like means you need less than normal lotion, since it doesn’t evaporate or dry out like other lotions. Most people are probably applying way too much. Like, ten times what they actually need. But before I can explain how much to use, I have to explain how lotion works. The natural oils your body produces are critical to holding in the water in your skin. Without it, your hands will dry out and if it gets bad enough, you’ll start bleeding. Lotion works by substituting your natural oils with something else that holds in water. That usually means oil or wax. In a pinch, olive oil works as a moisturizer, because it does the same thing. (putting olive oil on your hands then sleeping with gloves is actually really good for your hands) More than a dry climate, using some moisturizer is especially important for any job (or other reason) that requires you to wash your hands often, since soap removes all the important oils off your hands, leaving them to dry out. The dryer your climate, the worse your hands will feel after washing and drying out. The best time to use lotion is right after you use soap. The important part isn’t drowning your hands in cream. The important part is forming a thin layer that holds in your body’s water. So whatever amount you were using before, it was probably too much. The best way to use lotion is to apply a very thin layer, less than your pinky finger picks up when you wipe it over the surface of the container. Rub that into your hands right after you wash and dry them, before they’ve completely finished drying. After I do that, I’ll usually wipe my hands off with a pepper towel to remove any excess residue. This lotion gets into the cracks and sticks to your hands very well. You can gently wipe down your hands after applying the cream, and there’s still enough to hold in your body’s natural moisture.Just don’t try to get your hands feeling “clean”. If you remove 100% of the lotion and your hands feel like they’ve just been washed, that’s bad. Because now there’s no natural oils protecting your hands, and you’ve just removed the lotion that was supposed to protect your hands from drying out. You’re right back to square one. Instead, of removing everything, your hands should feel like there’s something coating them. It feels weird, but that layer of wax is what keeps your hands from drying out.If there’s enough lotion that you can see white residue when you touch something, you’re using way too much. Use less, and wipe off your hands after applying. Meanwhile, if you can’t see your fingerprint on glass or metal after washing your hands and applying lotion, you probably don’t have enough to keep your hands from drying out.Pictures coming soon.

    Really Heals Dry, Cracked Hands
I’ve tried a bunch of creams, but this one actually works. My hands get super dry and cracked from constant washing, and within a couple of days of using O’Keeffe’s, they felt smooth again. It’s not greasy, absorbs fast, and a little goes a long way. Honestly the best hand cream I’ve found so far.

Don’t give up! Keep reapplying! – 5 star formula, minus 1 star for smell
*Original Review with Old formula* – (Dec 15, 2016)I have been using this for about two months now. I had to use it religiously throughout the day and then again before bedtime to see results. If I stop using this, my dry patches around my hands would come back. I wash my hands often so I have to reapply several times. At the beginning I wasn’t very satisfied since it felt like a temporary fix. One hand wash and it’s back to dry so I decided to use it multiple times a day and it got a lot better. We have to put effort if we want to see results. It’s not an instant fix. When the skin is severely dry it burns/stings at first. I kept reapplying even with the pain and it lessened over time because it started to heal. I nearly gave up until I read someone else’s review. I repeat, don’t give up! Unless you are certain you are having a bad allergic reaction.—————-*Edit/Update* – (Dec 25, 2021)Lately I have been having bad flare-ups of rashes (eczema? I don’t know). I was using all sorts of different moisturizers (expensive botanical/organic stuff) and a prescription but majority either worsened or barely had any effect. I suddenly remembered this in my drawer. I only had a little bit left so I bought a new jar and realized formula has changed. It seems that the new formula removed Dimethicone, Ceteth-10, and Laureth-4. No new ingredients were added. The cream is still solid (non-drippy) in the jar but it applies thinner. You can rub it in a large area of body quicker due to the new consistency. It dries pretty similar to the old/original formula. Slightly waxy and sticky but not oily/greasy. It feels so much better than products like Vaseline. My skin feels soft and moisturized. It doesn’t cause any oily sheen/shine on the skin. The new formula isn’t fragranced but it does have some kind of wet smell. I don’t recall the old formula having that. Thankfully it’s tolerable. I think the new formula absorbs better into the skin. Initially I missed the thickness of the old formula but I quickly adapted. So far it’s not worsening my rashes. What a relief! Finally found a solution! Is it healing my skin? Yes, especially in areas that are mild condition. My hands look so much better compared to a week ago. I sometimes mix this with hydrocortisone. I will update in the future if necessary.-Ingredients (new/current formula):Water, Glycerin, Stearic Acid, Sodium Hydroxide, Paraffin, Hydroxypropyl Methylcellulose, Allantoin, Octyldodecyl Stearate, Diazolidinyl Urea, Iodopropynyl Butylcarbamate, Acrylates/Acrylamide Copolymer, Mineral Oil, Polysorbate 85————*Edit/Update* – (Feb 26, 2022)My skin is now even better! It’s amazing! I can now confidently say this is my “holy grail” skincare. I’ll never forget this product in my drawer ever again. My skin looks fully healed. I am not getting frequent flare-ups either. I still use it everyday out of fear of it returning but I don’t apply as often throughout the day. I’m so glad this brand works for me because a lot of the other brands are greasy and uncomfortable to use. This is very tolerable like butter cream. I think I actually prefer their new formula; however, the smell is a little funky. The old one I don’t recall having any smell.I recently discovered the best alternative to O’Keefe! It’s “Up & Up hand cream” from Target. It’s a generic copied version of O’Keeffe Working Hands. It smells a little better (like unscented baby wipes) so if you love O’keeffe but cannot stand the smell then I suggest trying that. Their ingredients are very similar but up&up has about 2 different ingredients (you can view comparison in my photo). Up&Up’s formula actually reminds me more of o’keeffe’s old formula.————-*Update/Edit* – (March 15, 2023)Hi. It’s me again with another update/revision to my review. I recently bought O’Keeffe’s Healthy Feet (blue jar). It didn’t have any off-putting smell compared to Working Hands (green jar). The ingredients and consistency/texture are nearly identical. The difference is very minor that most people won’t notice. Allantoin is 5th in the ingredients list of Healthy Feet while it is 7th place in Working Hands. Healthy Feet is slightly more expensive but worth it for me since I don’t have to worry about the funky smell. I prefer Healthy Feet Cream (blue jar) over Up&Up’s (Target) generic version of O’Keeffe’s Working Hands.————*Update/Edit* – (Aug 20, 2023)My last purchase of “Healthy Feet” in a jar was strangely gritty/beady and so I called the company to report it and they sent me a free replacement! So kind! I can confirm that if you reach out to them they will help. However, they sent me “Working Hands” instead. I lucked out by their mistake since I have been curious to repurchase Working Hands. I wanted to see if the funky smell was gone and yes, the smell is gone! Another confirmation. It smells like nothing. No odor. I guess I had two bad batches of Working Hands in the past and recently one bad batch of Healthy Feet. Kind of yikes but I still love them and will continue using their products. As always I will update my review if necessary.

    Great product for supple hands!
Wow is all I can say! This product works wonders on dry hands! The texture is like whipped butter. It has no scent & is easy to apply. Priced right as well. I have extremely dry hands as I wash them often. I now have moisturized, supple hands again after just a few applications! And I love that it doesn’t leave your hands feeling greasy. I highly recommend this cream!

You feel its quality product not like normal drugstore hand cream

I work as a contract delivery driver, delivering 800-900 parcels a week. My hands were getting trashed, dried out and cracking. It was super hard to keep them looking clean no matter how hard I scrubbed. Gloved didn’t work out as smartphone usage was difficult, even with ‘touch screen gloves’. The two photos I have added are 14 days apart, from when I recieved the product until now.I have been applying three times a day. Once in the morning before work, again after I have sorted and loaded all the days deliveries and finally after I get home from work and shower.Just amazed at how well it works. I’ve been using other ‘products’ before this but none seemed to have much effect. Is good. Do buy. Much improvement. To quote my girlfriend “OMG your hands are no longer made of sandpaper”. Many win.

The texture & the cream quality is great 😊 It hydrates the hand in thousand folds and makes your hand baby soft. Loved the scent.A bit expensive but as you need such a small quantity for one use it should last months. But considering it’s an imported product I find the price is ok 👌.Just used it but I’m extremely happy with the product.Highly recommendable!!!
