SAFE FOR YOUR BODY. Flex Reusable Disc is made with medical-grade silicone that won’t disrupt your natural vaginal pH. Flex feminine hygiene products are made without BPA, phthalates, or natural rubber latex.
EASY TO USE. Designed for beginners, the patented notch on the disc’s rim creates a narrow point for perfect placement during insertion, while the non-slip rim makes removing this period disc a breeze.
12-HOUR PROTECTION. You’ll love the ultra-soft silicone catch, which holds up to 6 super tampons-worth of fluid (70 mL). Flex Reusable Disc also features a firm rim that prevents leaks and seals in odors. Swim, sleep, squat, summit, and do everything you love to do when you’re not on your period.
UNREAL COMFORT. You might even forget you’re on your period. Flex Reusable Disc sits further back in the vagina, in a place called the vaginal fornix (just beneath the cervix). Once it’s in, you can’t feel it. Upgrade your feminine care!
SUSTAINABLE & PLANET-FRIENDLY. Our newest period disc is 100% reusable: Just wash it with a mild soap or cleanser in between wears and store it in its carrying pouch once your period is over. With proper care, Flex Reusable Disc will last for years.

Best purchases I ever made!
For those who just want a summery: this is the best period product that I have ever used. It takes a learning curve to get used to, but completely worth it. It is very comfortable, and I don’t have to worry about it throughout the day. I did find the reuseable more comfortable than the disposable discs. I haven’t had any significant leaking when using correctly, but I would recommend using a panty liner or period underwear for added protection until you get used to it. All in all, I wish that I had been brave enough to try the disc way sooner. For those who want a long, detailed, and TMI answer: I ordered a Flex period cup (not the disc) a couple years ago because I really wanted to have a reuseable product, and I was very tired of pads. I was always uncomfortable with tampons because (ironically for someone who was ordering a period cup) I just couldn’t get past shoving cotton up my you-know-what. Plus, removing tampons always felt so nasty and they never lasted very long because of how ridiculously heavy my period is. I have always had to have the big awful maxi pads and I would still be changing them all day long. When I ordered the period cup, I discovered quickly that this was not going to work for me. I tried very very hard to get used to it, but that was not going to happen. Inserting it was extremely difficult. No matter how many times I tried, it never got easier. The few times that I was able to insert it correctly, the little pull tab (which mind you I was very grateful for) made me very uncomfortable no matter what position that I was in. Removing was always painful, despite the pull tab. I just couldn’t keep trying. The disc was a different story. Originally when I ordered the Flex cup, it came with two disposable discs as a bonus. I had no idea what those were. After inspecting and reading the instructions, I said no way in hell was I going to even try those. I threw them in with my other toiletries and never even consider them until two years later. I am not even sure why I thought about them again. I think that I saw an ad about reuseable pads or something along those lines that made me want to try to find a reuseable product. I think that I looked into period underwear first before I remembered the discs (at that point Flex had come out with a reuseable disc). I practically dove into research about them. Where they sit, if they are safe, are the disposables better or the reusables? I read probably hundreds of reviews and suddenly became determined to try the disc. I still had one disposable disc that was in its sealed package, so I tried it on my next period. I knew INSTANTLY that it was a game changer. Inserting it was so easy and painless that I was actually excited that this might be it. I bought a pack of Flex disposables right away to try out for a full cycle before ordering a reuseable disc. Removing it was a little difficult the first time, because I didn’t bear down correctly. However, I figured it out and the next time was a breeze. The thing that I didn’t like about the disposable discs is that I can feel them when they are in. It was not uncomfortable or even bothersome, but I can definitely tell that they are there. The Flex reuseable disc was even better. I was a little nervous about the fact that the rim is a bit larger, but the notch makes it just as easy to insert. The rim is not as hard as the disposables, so I do not feel it at all when it’s in correctly. I have been using it for five months now and I am never going back. Normally both discs stay in place just fine. I have had it slip out of place a couple times when I was laying down in a weird position and another time when I was running. It was at the beginning of my learning curve, so I probably didn’t put it in very well. Neither time did it leak either. One of the best things is that you actually can leave it in for the full 12 hours. If you are on your heavy day and you are worried about it getting too full, you can “dump” it without removing when you go to the bathroom by bearing down (literally like you are trying to poop). Note that if you have a light period or you haven’t been wearing it long, it probably won’t dump much if anything. This did take me some time to get it right and even more time to get used to. I am not used to the blood spilling out all at once and it does gross me out. Not enough to stop using it, but enough that I’m still getting used to it. Every now and then I do have some spotting (probably because of dumping when I use the bathroom). I only had two major leaking incidents. One was with a disposable disc literally the first week of trying them out. I probably didn’t put it in very well and I had been holding in a number 2 for a lot longer than anyone should have to wait to use the bathroom. The other time was with a reuseable disc. It was overnight in my heaviest time of the week, and I had probably spent 10 hours sleeping without getting up to dump and another hour in bed on my phone. Both times I had been wearing a pad, so it wasn’t a disaster but they did happen.I know that cleaning the reuseable disc is a turnoff for a lot of people. The process of removing the disc can be messy for both the reuseable and disposable discs ESPECIALLY when you are learning. It is easier for me to insert the disc correctly while standing up with a leg up on the tub, but I am always sitting on the toilet to remove it. I know that some prefer to remove their discs while in the shower, however I want all the contents to go directly into the toilet. It’s not any less comfortable for me and it contains any mess. Even with practice though, I do get some blood on my fingers. It can be minimal, but I don’t think that it can be completely avoidable. It doesn’t really bother me but that might not fly with some. The flex wash does a great job cleaning my disc. Always rinse out the blood with cold water to prevent staining your disc and then clean it in hot water. I use two pumps each time and it is more than enough to get it clean. I would say that the one bottle lasted me 3.5 cycles. My period is always 7+ days, so even with the 12-hour wear, that can be a lot of washes. Like others have said, original Flex wash does have like a floral smell to it. It does seem pretty strong to me, but it’s not a bad smell. I had every intention of buying the same thing when I ran out, but I accidentally ordered the Neroli & Rosemary scent instead. It performs the same, however it has a little more of a spice smell and it is way less potent. Because of that, I’ll probably buy it again, but I don’t have any complaints about the original wash. The wash does get it very well cleaned, but it is good hygiene to sterilize it every now and then. Lots of women get steamers meant for sterilizing cups/discs, so don’t stress about having to boil it on the stove. I bought a little machine here on amazon that can both steam and boil. It works perfectly for my liking, and I don’t have to leave my bathroom. I tend to boil my disc at the end of my cycle and before I use it again. When I get in the shower at night, I usually just steam it. If you wanted to just use the Flex wash your whole cycle and sterilize it when you are done for the month, I’m sure it will probably be just fine. I am just paranoid. All in all, I would highly recommend this product to any woman out there. You don’t have to be afraid of it, even if you’ve never used a tampon or you are a virgin. Every new thing is a learning curve and something like this is almost always super scary. There is no shame in that and there is no shame in sticking with what you are comfortable with either. I didn’t even consider this product until two years later and there is nothing wrong with that. As for me, I wish that I had been brave enough to start using this two years ago. It is such a game changer and I feel so much freer on my period than I ever have before.

I bought it because it was clear and undyed! And loved it!
I feel like I should rate it four stars because there is room for improvement, but there are so many pros, I don’t really want them to panic and change it too much.Used the Nixit for several years. Took a break because I had my fourth baby. I loved a disc but to be honest it lightly leaked especially on super heavy days. Not always, but unpredictable spotting or nothing, so you really need a light pad with it. I have vulvodynia so the slightest irritation is like the end of the world in terms of hygiene products, rubbing, pressure, stems etc down there. Pads literally make me sore and aching skin within a couple days, they also are messy and have an odor and you can’t wait to shower daily because you feel so unclean. I have used tampons but they come with a lot of risk, they are hard to gauge, too much absorbency and you get the dry tampon removal experience, or too little and it is leaking and sopping, plus that string is not just a little gross hanging around waiting to collect bacteria and infect you. I used cups for a while but they are not great with vulvodynia and you can end up feeling pretty desperate and raw by the end of your cycle even with stems trimmed off. Also getting suction every time when inserting can actually be tricky and you can really be in a panic on the toilet trying five and six times over and over, nope it is pushing itself back out, nope, slid out, why isn’t it working, three different folds etc. At night is fine because you don’t walk around so no friction or disturbance in suction from activities. Also, have you gotten it suctioned way up so you can’t get it out? I have and my husband had to be called for assistance and even then we almost didn’t get it out. Scary.Well after my period returned five months postpartum, I got the Flex reusable. I was looking for a disc that was clear to avoid dyed silicone. It is amazingly designed (yes I bought it not a paid promo).Compared to Nixit- Nixit is pink silicone, Flex is clear (much prefer clear, many people hate it but honestly 1) I want to see to clean it, not like a navy blue cup or tie dyed pinks and reds so you don’t even know what you’re washing 2) there is nothing we know about silicone colorants, the v is acidic can it eventually leach after being inside for days and days every month? one brand has cobalt titanate to color the disc and I looked it up and in pubmed there is currently carcinogen concern over the use of that even for medical device colorant but FDA currently still has it approved for use, not fussy about using a potential carcinogen near my cervix, sure the clear might yellow a bit but literally who is going to see that and I cheerfully trade it off for more safety assuranceNixit is about the same size as Flex in diameter, not noticeableNixit is a thicker silicone material, Flex is incredible slim and streamlined and the pouch on the disc is like silicone Saran wrapNixit has a double rim leaving a groove in between the rims, Flex is smooth (I do not like the groove because it is hard to clean gunk out and I have to run my nail in between or stuff actually builds up in there, yuck)Nixit rim is very soft and squishy incl rim, Flex is very soft and silky but the rim is firmer and springier more effort to pinchNixit doesn’t have a notch in the rim, Flex does (get rid of the notch! It doesn’t help insert it at all and actually causes more twisting and difficulty and is a hard firm tip instead of a firm rounded insertion point. In fact it twisted so badly and folded up all over the place and turned into figure 8, I contacted the company and they said try turning it around so notch end goes in last not first in and ha, it worked)Because the rim is firmer on flex, I have no way to compare but people who aren’t as stretched out inside as I am from birthing large babies might be a bit daunted by getting it in and accommodating it. I might be wrong though but somehow it seems more substantial inserting it than Nixit.Nixit is easier to insert in my opinion, the rim is firmer and the bottom is so silky on Flex it is actually a bit tricky to pinch the two sides together without one side trying to already twist under the other.Nixit leaks some because it is so soft it just must bend too much with activity. It is quite quite good and I still don’t mind wearing it but don’t do it on a heavy day, or you just should accept lightly leaking on and off at random. I am insanely impressed how despite all it has to do, you put the Flex and if you got it right, it is IN and you can confidently wear no pad on a heavy day. I farm, I was chasing escaped calves. I mowed. NO LEAKS. Except please be careful because I was on a heavy day, and was so enthralled by the Flex doing it’s job I didn’t empty it (sometimes it will auto dump but sometimes not if you don’t do #2), I went 8 hours between emptying, I sat on the couch strangely maybe cross legged or on one leg and heard a sound and bled thru everything. I think it dumped on me.You can wear both when going #2, but you’ll prob want to check with a clean finger it is back up under the pubic bone after. Nixit is more likely to sag down more.Nixit removal is like a blood bath. Flex there is a small amount of extra blood but I think the thin thin wrinkly silicone pouch part somehow collapses in on the blood and mostly contains it while removing it. I don’t care about blood with removal, just grateful it wasn’t in a pad and on me but it definitely is a plus to have less of it all over when removing the Flex.I haven’t slept with it in yet. I have tried the Nixit and once I couldn’t pee when I got up in night, and got so scared I never wore a disc at night again and use a cup (saalt soft). I tried last night for first time in a few years and I had been sore on inner pubic bone from trying to get the Flex in repeatedly and failing plus the notch nonsense (it was like my anatomy had shifted, low cervix??? Trick is relax, push down low with the disc and aim down towards tailbone to almost scoop under cervix. ). Lying down didn’t feel good with the rim on sore spot so I took it out and wore Rael depends disposable organic underwear. I’ll try the flex at night next. So far the Flex isn’t causing urine retention or any discomfort even with my vaginal pain issues which is pretty something in fact.Hope this lengthy review helps you as I have others’ reviews. So far I’m favoring the Flex reusable disc right now. Nixit is ok but it is less iron clad in my opinion in terms of leaking. I feel like nothing is happening when on period and wearing Flex. Clean, dry, not sore, no cramps, no sick feeling in stomach, and can keep a social calendar without wondering what awful gross bathroom you’ll be forced to carry out tampon removal and pad changes, could even wear a white dress and not worry at all. (I would always still wear backup if I wore white lol). But having to change it every few hours or be worried about tss or leaking everywhere is great. And please do not ever get rid of the option to purchase clear undyed color style. Flex is the only one on market with a clear disc!

Super happy that Amazon.ca carries the Flex Reusable Disc since we can’t find the reusable disc in stores here in Toronto (stores only carry the disposables). Well as you can see, I have both the reusable and the disposable discs: I bought the disposable one first to see if liked it enough to get the reusable one. I love both and found the reusable disc slightly more comfortable than the disposable disc!Flex is the first brand of menstrual discs I ever used and previously I had been using the Diva Cup for years. I have no idea why it took me THIS LONG to discover menstrual discs. I can honestly say, I will only use the Diva Cup if I’m swimming in the ocean (and I don’t touch tampons by the way). Why won’t I use the menstrual disc when swimming in the ocean? Okay ladies, well, if you’re having fun snorkelling in the ocean for a couple of hours, you’re probably gonna want to pee in the ocean (just not with any humans near you out of courtesy). And well, when you pee, the disc will self-empty and release blood and you don’t want blood in the ocean (um, it could attrack a shark). So for anyone who swims in the ocean regularly or is heading on a tropical vacation during that time of the month, just keep this in mind as a small safety tip 😉In terms of using the menstrual disc during intimacy, this thing is AMAZING! 😅 Your partner probably won’t notice or feel the disc.I honestly love the Flex menstrual disc and highly recommend it. And I did quite a bit of research prior to my purchase and found that Flex is the only reusable disc that does not have dye/colour on the disc which was important to me. Now, I was shocked when I saw the size of the disc for the first time: my partner was shocked too and we both wondered how it was going to fit in there 🤣 well, it fits. And it fits quite easily!! And the good news is that I don’t feel it at all (unlike the diva cup which you can kind of feel). And compared to the diva cup, for any ladies who have experience with the diva cup, this menstrual disc is a breeze to remove: I often struggled to pull out the diva cup in comparison and I find the diva cup a lot messier since it does not self empty like this Flex disc.Hope this review helps! ☺️

Couldn’t recommend it enough. I’m 28 and have never used a tampon, or cup in my life – pads only, so this was a completely new, and somewhat daunting experience. I was scared it would get stuck inside, which is the reason I never bought a cup, but this one seemed less likely to create a hard to break suction and get stuck, so I went for it. I definitely struggled the first couple tries to get it in properly, but on my 3rd attempt I did it perfectly and now have no issues. I have no leakage, I can’t feel it, and if I didn’t experience pain (I have Endo) then I wouldn’t even know I was on my period. Absolute game changer, sucks I’ve spent 14 years menstruating without this lol. Only downside is price, however I would pay that all day long for the benefits, and it is a bit messy changing it, but you only have to do it once every 12 hours, so it’s no big deal having a bit of a mess twice a day. And it’s super easy to take out which was my biggest concern, will never use another period product again

i’m gonna feed back on a few bits that are super relevant.- it doesn’t self empty quite as well as the disposables do.- it’s comfortable and you can’t feel it in place- you’ll never go back to tampons again, this is so much more practical- it is messy to empty, you need a bathroom with a sink to wash your hands after to plan removal for bedtime- I’ve never leaked with flex, either disposable, if you import them from the states, or this reusable silicone one.- it feels cleaner than regular sanitary items to use, ‘nipping’ to the loo is so much easier- if you’re a sports person, this is your go to, especially sports where you’re unable to get to a loo for hours – golf, tennis, football etc- you can do the deed with it in place, it doesn’t shift or move, but it is distracting for your partner cos they can feel it. if you’re after the cleaner experience this will tick the box, but you’re only gonna want to remove it to clean it after anyway (in my opinion) so if you’re not bothered to begin with, just remove it first.- to get your head around the way these work, it sits vertically not horizontally. you put it in like a tampon without an applicator, it slots into place intuitively about as high up as your index finger. you hook it back out with your finger, you might have to bear down a little. it sounds way more complicated than it actually is.- all day comfort, no stress, no leaks, to toxic shock and you can sleep in it no problem.- it just cleans with handwashing.- worth noting for anyone who already uses the disposable flex that this needs a little more concentration to remove, not in a bad way, just in a different way because its all silicone.- it air dries quickly and comes with a little canvas bag to store it in.- worth one final note – if you like to sleep without clothes, this is the purchase for you.

This is the best period product I’ve used!No waste, not having to look for organic products anymore and so, so much easier and more comfortable than any cup I’ve tried! If you’re in doubt if it works for you, first buy their disposable one, it’s pretty similar, except this one is made of silicone – very soft silicone on the bottom.

Great alternative to cups
