Clears up skin fungus and flaky scalp.
Worked very well. I’ve been having trouble with what I thought was dry skin/scalp for a while. I kept having it behind my ears and other places. Then one day I saw white inside my ear. So I tried this and it cleared up the problem with my ears and my head. I can’t be happier. The smell is not great but it’s also not bad. The Head and Shoulders that I used to use was a worse smell. This worked so quickly and so well that I don’t even mind that it isn’t a fruity good smell that I would prefer. I’m just so glad my cracked dry ear problem is gone now! I thought it was just dry skin! Anyway, I will be getting more of this, definitely.

This Amazon Basics Therapeutic Plus shampoo really helps with dry scalp and persistent dandruff. The 1% coal tar formula is strong but gentle enough for regular use. It leaves my scalp feeling clean and itch-free — great quality and affordable!

My scalp actually feels CLEAN for once. I have struggled with seb derm for YEARS & after one single use of this product I had to share that I have never used anything that has helped as much as this product does. After one use it has genuinely cleared my scalp of 95% of the itchy, flaky scales I have lived with since 5th grade. Unfortunately the smell will peel your eyelids back but that is a small price to pay for a flake and itch free scalp for me. 5 stars even if the smell is so abhorrent I’m a little embarrassed to go to work tomorrow smelling like this lol

Works great for dry scalp
This shampoo works well and helps treat my dry scalp. It is not as good as the Neutrogena charcoal shampoo, but it is one of the better ones. It is most effective and smells less strongly than other shampoos. Lathers pretty well and leaves hair and scalp feeling refreshed. I try to use as little as possible so that durability is good, and it is a decent size. It does stain my towels after I have rinsed my hair well. I recommend drying your hair with a separate towel you don’t mind getting stained.

It really does work. I also added some liquid pine coal tar to another bottle. Works just fine. It took about 3 days for my scalp Psoriasis to calm down.

This knock-off seems to work like the original that it was patterned after.It is surprising to read the negative comments about the odor. Purchasers should be aware that it smells like coal tar, just like the product name indicates.

Major relief for your scalp!
Talk about feeling like a bad mom! My son has been dealing with dandruff for that last few years. We have tried SO MANY different shampoos! Then… I went to cut his hair and seen the sores close to his hairline. He has pretty thick hair so I could not see his scalp very well. It was not dandruff! It was psoriasis! Poor kid was suffering and I was not fixing the issue with all the other shampoos! He uses this 2 times a week and he noticed an immediate difference. It is a little drying but he uses a leave in conditioner that he is just careful to not get on his scalp. The bottle is not huge, but it lasts a long time since it is not used every day. We just had to order another bottle. The last one lasted over 2 months. I know that there are a lot of different remedies and not all of them work for everyone. So happy that this worked!
