Elegant, fragrant, and ready to gift – love this little trio!
This little holiday trio from The Body Shop was such a lovely surprise. The Body Shop has been around for decades and is known for having cruelty-free, nature-inspired products. Technically, this is my first time really trying anything from them myself, and I understand why people are loyal to this brand. Everything about this British Rose set feels thoughtful, from the packaging to the formulas inside.All three products share the same British Rose scent, which is a very classic, true rose fragrance. It’s not powdery or overly modernized with fruity or musky notes rather it’s just a straightforward, beautiful rose. If you love rose scents, you’ll absolutely adore this. It’s definitely fragrant and lingers nicely, so if you prefer something subtle, this might be a bit strong, but I personally love how fresh and floral it feels.The shower gel is the first step, and it’s a lightweight gel texture that lathers easily without leaving my skin feeling stripped or tight. It’s refreshing and gives that spa-like floral scent while you shower. I’ll just mention (because I always like to be realistic about these things) since it’s fragranced, I personally avoid using it in more sensitive areas because fragrance can sometimes throw off pH balance. However, for the rest of the body, it’s lovely and gentle.Next is the “body yogurt,” which is essentially a lightweight body cream with a gel-cream consistency. It sinks into the skin quickly and leaves it feeling hydrated without any greasiness. It’s definitely not as thick as a body butter, so it’s perfect for anyone who wants moisture without the heavy feel. I love using it right after the shower because it really locks in that rose scent and makes it last even longer throughout the day.Finally, the little hand cream is such a nice touch. It’s just the right size to toss in a purse or keep at your desk, and it absorbs quickly without feeling sticky. The only tiny downside was that my tube came a bit dented from shipping (it’s in one of those soft aluminum-style tubes), but it didn’t affect the product itself at all. Just something to note if you’re planning on gifting it.Speaking of gifting, this set comes beautifully packaged. It’s ready to give as-is, which makes it an easy, elegant present for the holidays. British Rose Essentials Gift Set
This set includes body yoghurt, hand cream, and shower gel with a rose floral fragrance. They call it a gift set, but it’s great to buy as a gift and then keep :)Scents are so personal and also impossible for me to describe, so I’ll just say the scent is not overpowering which is good, and smells like soft floral. The trio come in a nice sturdy floral-patterned cardboard gift box, with no advertising or logos so I can see using it as a knick-knack box afterwards. Maybe in my office for binder clips or tape or rubber bands or just about any collection of things that fit in a box!I’ve never used a body yoghurt but like it! It looks like a translucent yoghurt and goes on very smoothly with no greasy feel at all. My skin type is normal, leaning towards dry, and I used it during the day when my skin felt dry. I like lotions with quick non-greasy absorption which describes these lotions. The hand cream is thicker, but also hydrating without having any greasy feel. Like them both a lot! They are not as deeply hydrating as other products I use but great to have on hand for casual use. The shower gel lathers well, rinses off thoroughly, and the trio make a lovely set.The fragrance isn’t my favorite but I like it enough to smell it on my guests so it’s going in their bathroom. I think they’re going to love it!

Very strong, lasting scent.
Very strong scent. I put a tiny bit of the body yogurt on my hand and the smell was way too strong for me. I washed my hand multiple times and the smell was still there. That’s a great thing if you like the scent. My daughter LOVES the way this smells. For me it was just too much floral and I couldn’t use it. I expected “British” rose to be a lighter scent, but this was a pretty perfumy rose in my opinion. If you love a solid, strong, scent of rose and want it to last, this is probably a great product for you. It did come in a nice box and is very easily gifted.

Roses Roses EVERYWHERE
I’m not sure if there’s a distinct difference between “British” Rose and well, “regular” rose – but this kit smells AMAZING. I’ve been a big fan of rose scented items for as long as I can remember. It’s my favorite floral scent because of it’s deep and long-lasting notes. This cute gift set includes 3 items: a body yogurt, a shower gel and a hand cream. The hand cream is super saturated, so it’s easy to overdo it (trust me, a little blop is plentyyy.) The shower gel is small but mighty. I was worried about the size at first, but after using I’ve realized the scent is also very concentrated, meaning a little goes a long way. The body yogurt is the item I think I will definitely finish first. Texturally, it reminds me quite literally of yogurt. It’s smooth and light, not heavy at all. I think out of the three products I find myself using a more generous “serving” of this while applying particularly to my legs after shaving in the shower. It’s helped reduce razor burn (yes, even though it’s scented) and adds a deliciously sweet scent for hours after.This set comes in a really nice box with the items displayed neatly as soon as you open it. I was way too excited and definitely should’ve taken a picture of it; so I hope someone else can share what that looked like. Oops. Perfect for the holidays! Whoever receives this will be hopefully as over the moon as I am!!
