This lavender oil arrived today, and it is truly great. A real Retail Unicorn: VERY good deal and very good product, both. Smells great, passes the “paper test” , and NOT greasy with some “mystery” oil. I use this to boost my unscented laundry detergent, and on my wool dryer balls, and this load just came out smelling every bit as nice as expensive brands. Additionally, I mix it with witch hazel to make a linens spray and also a face spritz.Thank you SO much Sun Essentials! I can see why you are an Amazon Choice, indeed!UPDATE: Feel like I need to amend this review. Unfortunately, the scent does not hold up, and within no time I realized the laundry was coming out without any lavender smell, and my spritz bottles were not retaining any scent, either. I would recommend NOW brand over this. The 4oz. NOW costs almost as much as this 16 oz. , but you get SO much long- lasting and fresh scent with each drop of NOW. Even a dropperful of Sun Essentials cannot match it.☹️

Good essential oil at a fair price
Sun really makes solid products for a fair price. I tried lavender this time (I buy a lot of peppermint and cinnamon oil because ants and dust mites don’t like them). Again, another solid buy. Perfect for laundry!

This item smells good, but is too heavy for my diffuser, it clogs the diffuser. I noticed when I use them in my diffuser, the diffuser won’t work, I cleaned and let the diffuser sit for a month, then tried my prior oils and it worked. I will use the oils for something else.

OK, companies that sell scent crystals for spas, warn you DO NOT PUT AROMATIC OILS IN YOUR SPA. This seems to make sense, because the oil can be captured and soak into your filter material. This is probably true, except, when you get in a spa, oils from your body also ‘clog’ the filter… they don’t tell you that… otherwise their recommendation would be DO NOT PUT HUMANS IN YOUR SPA. A bad way to sell a hot tub! Note that aromatic oils like this tend to evaporate (dissipate) through the air, that’s why you can smell them… so doubt much ends up in the filter as claimed… but just in case…To get rid of oils that could clog your spa (human or otherwise), add 1 teaspoon of dishwasher detergent (powder or liquid) every month or two. These are non-foaming and are intended to safely break down oil. The FDA also ensures that these detergents are safe for human consumption of trace amounts (like what gets on your dishes). So a teaspoon in 300 gallons of water is more than safe.I tried 1/4 dropper full of this oil in the water (it floats, so the chlorine will not immediately neutralize it) before I got in. It was great! Incredibly inexpensive compared to those scented epsom salt crystals/chemicals are sold for this purpose. That epsom salt crystals build up over time and can only be removed by changing the water. Also… are ever higher concentrations of epsom salt good for you (I think not).

READ the ingredients on the lavender oil
Was looking for pure lavender essential oil to diffuse and slipped up by not reading the ingredients. I let the front of the label fool me, along with my previous purchase of the brand’s clove oil (for natural insecticide). This is not pure lavender essential oil. It contains “lavendin” (a hybrid) oil which I’m okay with, “lavender fragrance” oil (lab created, can be synthetic, natural, or both) not okay with, and “triethyl citrate” (ethyl alcohol and citric acid). Although lavendin is supposed to be a stronger scent, I could barely smell it in the bottle nor while diffusing in comparison to the 100% pure lavender essential oil (Now brand) I had remaining. Then I read the ingredients and discovered why. Very disappointed. This was my reminder to ALWAYS read the ingredients. I bought another brand that is 100% pure lavender oil — noticeable difference.

This product does not smell good. I used it for soap making and my soap does not have the sweet smell of lavender. And I cannot return this item. Very disappointed!
