Excellent candles .. with one slightly inconvenient property. But still worth it.
I’ve purchased these candles almost a dozen times now. They last an extremely long time and they smell fantastic.One lesson I’ve learned is: Try not to let them burn unattended for more than about 4 hours at a time.The wax has a relatively low melting point and so, if the candle remains lit for a long time the entire volume of wax will liquefy, causing the wick to sometimes fall over into the wax, extinguishing the wick and you will return to find that your candle is out and the wick is hidden somewhere beneath the now solidified surface. Usually a little digging around in the wax with a knife can free up the wick and it can be lit again. Only once was I completely unable to rescue the drown wick and ultimately tossed half a candle into the trash.Now I let them burn for a few hours, or until I see that the wax is too liquefied, and them I let them cool back down before re-lighting.Having said all that, I intend to continue buying these candles because how good they are outweighs this one small issue.Edit: I sort of figured out that the wick burns away very slowly so, as the wax level drops, the wick sticks out further and further and begins to curl. After a few hours, if the wax has liquefied completely, the curl at the top of the wick is what causes it to topple over into the molten wax. So, I’ve started snipping the curl off with scissors every so often and it seems that this will keep the wick from falling over into the wax.Issue resolved 🙂

I read the other review, so I am little hesitant, but so far these are 5 stars. I love the scents, being a male. My favorite is the smoke and vanilla. These are definitely masculine smelling candles. They are a little pricey for their size, but I don’t think I have ever come across a set that has scents that suited me. I will update my review if I find the same issues as others, as I have not had time to burn them long term yet.

Nice Gift Idea, But Small and Scent Preference May Vary
I purchased this candle gift set for my stepson for Christmas. The packaging was cute, and the candles had a nice “manly” scent profile. Out of the four, he only really liked one of the scents — so scent preference will definitely vary from person to person.They are on the smaller side and burned down fairly quickly, so don’t expect long-lasting candles. For the price, it’s a fun little gift, but set your expectations accordingly. Still a nice stocking stuffer or novelty gift.

I discovered that scented candles make great gifts. This company makes scented candles that are already gift-packaged in a fancy box.I recently gave my niece a gift box of similar candles. She was gleeful and lit up one right away. I experienced their calming effect.They come in metal cans with a metal lid. This makes it possible to easily extinguish them at the end of the day and enjoy each for several days. They have a very long burn time. There are four different cans in the box, each with its unique scent.When it came time to buy a gift for a guy friend, I was pleasantly surprised that the company made such candles in manly scents. They smell great. Now men can enjoy aromatherapy that isn’t flowery.

Not strongly scented, but bargain priced.
Good bargain pricing for the set. Good burn time, roughly 25 hours for each candle. The fragrances were nice, yet the candles’ scents were not as strong as I’d hoped. The aroma did not truly fill the room. One had to be right next to the candle to get it’s full scent.

I purchased the pack of four which included, vintage oak, vintage leather, lavender woods and smoke & vanilla.There was absolutely zero aroma from all four candles when lit.Each candle I burned for a minimum 2hrs and they were all placed on the table next to my couch.I felt like I was conned.I would have accepted it if one of them was faulty but how can all of them smell of nothing?Taking them out of the box three had a scent to them.I wouldn’t even give these to the charity shop.

Overall, I’m satisfied with them. The packaging is beautiful and the candles look great. The presentation is 5/5. The smell for each candle in the 4 pack is subtle. Ladies if you’re worried these candles will make your boyfriend/husband’s space smell manly like a gym bag dear not. The scents are pretty unisex and quite typical essential oil type smells despite what each label might be.I’m giving it 4 stars because each candle takes quite a long time to give off a smell and even then they’re pretty subtle. I would buy again if they were on sale. Most people will probably be satisfied.
