Amazing for headaches!Everyone in my family battles headaches and tension. I thought the TLINNA Head Massager might be a welcome therapy device for those times. It’s been in my home for about a week and it has already been used by every family member.This massager is made from a soft PU material that feels good against the skin. It’s easily adjustable for different head sizes with a strong Velcro strip. It has three massage modes and three heat levels (medium, high, off). The massaging is accomplished by using air compression, but it bears a striking resemblance to the feeling of strong fingers working the head. It’s quite intense, at times a bit more intense than I’d prefer at the temples. The three modes are “Dredging the Meridian” (a technique practiced in Chinese medicine, I had to look it up), “Relieve Fatigue” and “Acupressure”. The three modes are supposed to represent three intensity levels, but I perceived them also to have different focus areas on the head. The massaging action hits spots all around the head. I really appreciate the massaging at the base of the skull, this is a big area of tension for me. I wish there was a way to adjust the intensity of just this area to a higher level (and the temples to a lower level). The heat, to me, was really a secondary feature. I’m sure combining it with the massage had some benefits, but to be honest I didn’t really pay much attention to it.I haven’t had a full-blown headache since this device arrived, but I have had the kind of tension that precedes my headaches. I used the head massager when I began tightening up and feeling the beginnings of pain. It hit all the right spots. It really did help alleviate my tension. Perhaps that’s why I didn’t get a headache. I found that it greatly helped me relax, so much so that I fell asleep twice while using it. You’re not supposed to sleep with it, so this wasn’t intentional, but it was a direct result of the relaxation. On another occasion a member of my family awakened with a headache. I offered the massager to them to use. Within minutes they fell back asleep, so I’m assuming the headache subsided enough to help them relax.This device seems to be effective for me and my household and it has some excellent features I really love. The PU leather is not only comfortable, but it’s also easy to clean. This device is operated with a remote, which makes it easy to adjust and apply settings. Changes can be made while the device is in use, and I don’t have to take if off to do so. It’s powered by a rechargeable battery so it can be used anywhere without having to be tethered to an outlet. The battery is pretty impressive, it lasted for 6.5 sessions before depleting. There may be a couple of things I would like to change on this, but overall I really like it. It did get rid of my headache!!
After trying a number of devices using things like shiatsu rollers and vibration, I had given up on any kind of neck/temple relief from anything electronic. I DO have some machines that work for muscle pain, with my go to for legs being an inflatable bag style similar to this headband – so of course I had to try this out to see if it would work just as well… and it did so well I was amazed they weren’t already the most popular massager out there!It took seconds from opening the box to fiqure out how to wear and use it, with easy to follow instructions walking through placement and the different modes; immediately I knew this was special, with the airbag placement perfect for both temples and the base of the skull above the spine alternating and giving pressure depending on the mode, and a good amount of heat that doesn’t get uncomfortable. My wife, with a much smaller head, got the same relief thanks to the adjustable back, so I’m sure any head size could use it, and that Velcro is heavy duty stuff that hold the strain of the inflating bags without even trying.The mode I like most alternates between the sides and front/back, with the best way of describing it being that it makes your skull feel like a ball of dough or clay gently being shaped into a sphere (it feels better than it sounds). The neck and temple working is perfect for both tension headaches and stress migraines alike, and you can also turn the heat off if . Battery life is great, and it charges quickly; its wireless of course because of this, so you can use it anywhere, and cleaning is as simple as a wipe down.If you get regular headaches, this is well worth the price to pamper your cranium better than most masseurs!
