    Best disc I’ve ever used
I’ve been using cups for twelve years and discs for about two. Two of the more well known discs I’ve used are the Lumma and the Flex reusable. The first is absolute trash. Very thick material that stays compressed and folded even after insertion and doesn’t collect any blood. The latter is the one I used for the longest but it auto dumped on me a lot. I have a very heavy flow, and frequently hemorrhage. I have to receive IV iron infusions every couple months, I bleed that much. Obviously no cup or disc will hold hemorrhages, and I have to dump more frequently than the average person on my heavy days, but my Nixit seems to be the right fit for me. The rim is firm enough for very easy insertion (I would compare it to the Flex reusable, maybe SLIGHTLY softer but if it is, it’s not very noticeable), and the basket (the part that holds the blood) is very soft and pliable and has no trouble opening up once inside the vaginal fornix. It is very easy to remove and wash.I feel like a lot of the bad reviews are from people who don’t understand how discs work, or have never used them before. Highly recommend.

    Works great!
If you do your research and find out how to use this correctly it works amazingly and does not leak also I’m very heavy and it holds a lot more than metal cups. I decided to try discs after using menstrual cups I got fed up with how Often I had to empty them. This is more messy which is annoying at times especially when you don’t feel like cleaning up a mess but it’s worth it for not having to empty it as much. I am thankful for the auto dump it does take some practice honestly without that feature there’s no way I could empty it in public with it being so messy overall if your heavy it’s very good product. I think this is my Goldilocks disc it works that good for me.

Not the easiest insertion but no leaks
Insertion was a little weird because it is pretty soft but I got the hang of it. For me this product auto dumps almost every time using bathroom but that is a plus for me. I have a high cervix and super heavy flow. To put it perspective on my heavy days I would fill and overflow a pixie xl in a little over an hour. With nixit I haven’t had leaks it’s comfortable removal hasn’t been a problem. Best period product I’ve tried so far.

    Not exaggerating – life-changing purchase
I’ve used cups for nearly a decade but have been getting frustrated with pressure and fit. I have been interested in exploring disc options for a few months but was rather intimidated. The instructions and video demonstrations for nixit were what pushed me over the edge to try this product. I was expecting that it would take a few cycles to get the hang of how to use this without leaks, but I was blown away by how comfortable and easy to use this product has been. The instructions were very clear and I had minimal issues with leakage, fit, and placement. I’m thrilled with this purchase and look forward to further cycles.

    Hard to use and expensive!
I wanted to love and use a reusable menstrual product, but the Nixit isn’t it. It’s expensive and hard to use. If you dont get the angle right during insertion you can hit your cervix and it sits there. Also times when I thought I had it right I still felt a little lip hanging and couldn’t push it up under your pubic bone any further as they say to do. I tried every position possible, watched tons of videos and for the life of me I couldn’t get it to work. So wasted money because it’s only a 30 day window for returns and I wanted to give it a try for at least 2 of my periods. I reached out to Nixit company to see if they could give me any tips and they just sent me the same videos I watched over and over again. I was disappointed because people said to reach out and they’ll give personalize advice that didn’t happen especially when I said I watched every video they put out and what my issue was. So maybe it’ll work for you if you’re super experienced with reusable products and know how to insert without issues, if not try something else. This disk is very big too. As for me, i don’t want to waste any more money on reusable products that may or may not work. It’s expensive upfront with the actual product and then cleaning supplies (I refuse to use a pot I use to cook and eat food to clean something I use for my period, if you’re fine with that then I guess it’s cheaper). Also I’m plus size so don’t know if this has something to do with my issues, so plus size ladies know you may have trouble with insertion and keeping it there.

    Loved it until it ripped
I started with disposable flex discs and loved discs. This was my first reusable disc. After 2 cycles it ripped while resting on a shampoo bottle in the shower. So disappointed. I got a salt to replace it and it’s too thick and hard to remove in my opinion.

    Love it.
My 2nd disc after Cora. I’ve used numbers of cups for years and find out about disc. Cup is fine but I still need to change it for every few hours, plus it takes time to put it in. I was hoping disc will be easier but Cora, I couldn’t make it work. It leaks like I wear nothing. I have retro vertex uterus according to OB. So I bought Nixit, since it’s bigger it may cover cervix. And it did after few trial and error. I love the design of packaging and also the softness of the disc… it makes me wanna buy more but one is enough for now

I’ve used menstrual discs exclusively for years now and consider myself quite familiar and comfortable with them. Unfortunately, I suppose this disc doesn’t work for my anatomy at all. It is the softest disc I’ve ever encountered, and I’ve owned a few different brands in the past (Saalt, Lumma, FemmyCycle, Hello, Flex, etc.). The disc itself is very large and yet extremely soft, and this makes it a gamble whether or not it fits into my body. The end kinda bunches up a bit as it’s being inserted. Sometimes I manage to squeeze it in there, other times it refuses to cooperate. The main merit of this disc is that it’s so soft, I’ve never felt it exert any pressure against my bladder. However, it’s simply much too soft and finicky to insert. I find it rather disappointing considering the price point. My favourites are probably still the Saalt and Lumma discs, which have firmer rims and are my go-to reliable options.

I have endometriosis and very very heavy painful periods. I have irregular periods and seem to almost always be on my period. I use tampons but they leak so quickly and I needed to change them very often. They dry me out, are itchy, make my skin react, are terrible for the environment, full of harmful additives, they’re super expensive, and there’s the very real risk of toxic shock. I tried the diva cup and hated it. I tried both sizes and it was painful, hard to get in and impossible to get out. Somehow leaked all the time and was just not worth it.This is AMAZING!-No pain-Easy to insert-Easy to take out-Easy to empty (hands free)-Easy to learn-Doesn’t cause cramping-Doesn’t fall out with bad cramps-Doesn’t leakAND THE BEST PART ISYOU CAN HAVE BLOOD FREE SEX!-You can’t feel it-He can’t feel it-No leakingIf I didn’t tell him about it he wouldn’t have known. So so so so so cool!

  10. Merive

I have used the diva cup for YEARS, but after giving birth, it was never a good fit. I had heard great things about the nixit so I decided to give it a try with no expectations. It really solved my problems. I wish I had bought it sooner because it makes my life so much better and honestly, I find it way more comfortable, I don’t feel it at all!

  11. Caylee

Literally the worst. Leaks, hard to place, no matter what. Back to original cups for me. This thing is the worst product I have ever used.

  12. wanderlustking

I’ve tried allllll the cups and none of them have been even close to leakproof for me. This disc is literally a game changer! The biggest thing for me: Ease of removing it!! No more occasionally stuck cups giving me a stress meltdown during my period. Second thing: if you get it placed properly, it truly doesn’t leak! For anyone out there struggling to find something that actually works, this is it!
